When the Windows DPI setting is changed, you can't setup Avro Converter. The first time splash screen where you have instructions and select the encoding is not completly viewable, so you can't continue.

The DPI setting is often used on large/high resolution displays

To change DPI in Windows XP
Open display properties
Click on settings tab
Click on Advanced
Change DPI setting to Large to see the problem.

Since Avro Converter uses skinned window, there will be a little benifit of using DPI settings. Increasing DPI will not increase the window size and other properties.

Is this urgently necessary? Or, Is it possible for you to temporarilly change the DPI to 96 when using Avro Converter (ofcourse, a restart is needed)?

Let me know, the easy solution is, don't let Avro Converter run on above/below 96 DPI. I can set a checking at the converter startup so that it would not run on unsupported resolutions/DPI. Or, I have to manually code for different DPI settings... sad.gif
