1. Who is exactly the devoloper of the font "Bangla.ttf" (ass available in : http://www.omicronlab.com/avrokeyboard/bangla-fonts/) ? Who is "PfEd" ? Is this font 100% Unicode 4.1.0 compliant ?

2. Do you know anything about these two fonts : "Boishakhi" and "Bidisha" ? Are these Bangladeshi fonts or Indian ? Are these Unicode or non-unicode ? If these are non-unicode fonts, then which software application or keyboard interface/manager uses and are able to use them ?

Can I use any of these 2 fonts with Avro ?

Thank you !

1. AFAIK 'Bangla.ttf' made by BIOS....but others may give light with more and currect info...

2. 'Boishakhi' comes with ALPONA keyboard manager [Made by Mr. Ranju]..Boishakhi has two edition one is ASCII [new font layout] and another is 'Boishakhi Unicode'..though it's not 100% unicode, only basic characters are unicode others uses private areas...and It's a 100% Bangladeshi font [One Note: IMO Boishakhi is the best [ASCII] fonts ever made]

I didn't hear about 'Bidisha' nor know about it...It seems to me that it may Indian font...but there are posibilty that it made my Lekhoni or Boshundara...accually i have no-eye-dear :-)

As 'Boishakhi' not a TRUE UNICODE font, you can't use it with AVRO Keyboard...for 'Bidisha' yet i have no-eye-dear :-)

Could you possibly send the Bidisha font to my email address ?

By the way, I was asking about the Bangla.ttf font is because it looks like a standard formal business-like font in its appearance, unlike many other unicode fonts which are either cranky or artistic. What I mean is, for formal purposes you need a font which looks (chehara) formal and similar to the characters of the standard alphabet in appearance. For example, in English, Comic Sans MS or Mistral or Monotype Corsiva aren't standard & formal-looking -- they are artistic, but Times New Roman is both standard & formal/business-like looking and elegant too at the same time. In Bangla, even Rupali is not exactly standard and formal -- it's a bit artistic. Sutonny is standard and formal-looking but ASCII, Sagar is also standard, formal and elegant in looks, but only Uni 4.0. . Now this Bangla.ttf too looks standard, formal, and elegant. But is it 100% Uni -- 4.1.0 compliant ? Basically, what I am looking for is, something (a font ) which is standard, formal/business-like, and elegant in its appearance/looks and also 100% Unicode 4.1.0 compliant.

If Bangla.ttf is not 100% 4.1.0 compliant, then is there any other which will meet my specifications as described above?

Sorry I forgot to mention that 'Bangla.ttf' is not Unicode 4.1 compliant..it's 4.0

And 'SutonnyMJ', 'Sagar' n 'Bangla' all are same faces...accually this faces made by linotype a hundread and fifty years ago...

I hear they recently patent it again...I'm trying to make a formal and standard faces with one artist [senoiur freind]..but he is too busy...and seems it'll take a loooong time...

And we thinking to make it [Bangla.ttf] to 4.1 complaint as it released under GPL

Sorry, I just noticed that BIOS made 'UniBangla' not 'Bangla.ttf'...
Sorry for my mistake! If there any Bangla Fonts under GPL...we may release it to Unicode 4.1 complaint if it is not...

And Bangla.ttf is released under GNU GPL...so we can release an update for it...I got another Bangla font 'Utkalm.ttf' from same provider...
