By the way, I was asking about the Bangla.ttf font is because it looks like a standard formal business-like font in its appearance, unlike many other unicode fonts which are either cranky or artistic. What I mean is, for formal purposes you need a font which looks (chehara) formal and similar to the characters of the standard alphabet in appearance. For example, in English, Comic Sans MS or Mistral or Monotype Corsiva aren't standard & formal-looking -- they are artistic, but Times New Roman is both standard & formal/business-like looking and elegant too at the same time. In Bangla, even Rupali is not exactly standard and formal -- it's a bit artistic. Sutonny is standard and formal-looking but ASCII, Sagar is also standard, formal and elegant in looks, but only Uni 4.0. . Now this Bangla.ttf too looks standard, formal, and elegant. But is it 100% Uni -- 4.1.0 compliant ? Basically, what I am looking for is, something (a font ) which is standard, formal/business-like, and elegant in its appearance/looks and also 100% Unicode 4.1.0 compliant.
If Bangla.ttf is not 100% 4.1.0 compliant, then is there any other which will meet my specifications as described above?
Sorry I forgot to mention that 'Bangla.ttf' is not Unicode 4.1 compliant..it's 4.0
And 'SutonnyMJ', 'Sagar' n 'Bangla' all are same faces...accually this faces made by linotype a hundread and fifty years ago...
I hear they recently patent it again...I'm trying to make a formal and standard faces with one artist [senoiur freind]..but he is too busy...and seems it'll take a loooong time...
And we thinking to make it [Bangla.ttf] to 4.1 complaint as it released under GPL
