Hi,

I want to use bengali unicode font in my bengali website. I have few issues which may seem silly to you but bothering me much.

First basic issue I want to use a bunch of Bangla text say between a DIV tag or P tag, in my website's about us page's body tags, this webpage is a plain HTML page. How shall I put Bengali text in editor? Say I have written a content in Bengali using Avro Keyboard, then how shall I put them in Dreamweaver ? I don't want to use MS Word , rather preferring Notepad or Dreamweaver. Even I dont use MS frontpage / Expression Web.

What my plan is : I shall type Bengali, in notepad if possible .. Then paste it in Dreamweaver, in my webpages BODY tag inside a DIV or P tag.

1) I am using dreamweaver CS5 / nusphere php editor for programming. Any META CHARACTER set to be defined for Bengali Unicode ?
2) Font specific meta required or not ? If required what will be the meta ?
3) If I use CSS to write a paragraph which will hold bengali unicode text , what will be the code in style tags ? as for example : p { font : ____________________ }

I have registered in http://my.anandabazar.com and I saw any user can post comment and that is like jQuery plugins as this demo : http://torifat.github.com/jsAvroPhonetic/
But that is much better and errorless and by using Ctrl+G any user can switch between English and Bengali.

Most important issue is I don't want that my site viewers instal anything to view pages properly in bengali. I have a XP Laptop and Windows 7 laptop and I have seen that XP Service Pack 2 having Firefox 5 in it cannot show bengali properly of Anandabazar.com , it shows lots of "hosontos",

Rather my Windows 7 shows properly having Firefox 7.
