Cyber Café Owners Association of Bangladesh (CCOAB) is organizing CyberFair 2006 which will be held at Vashani Novo Theatre from 26 April, 2006 to 30 April, 2006.

The Show

Experience the virtual world of computing and Internet. Discover how life and work being increasingly shaped by ICT. Cyber Fair 2006 is the fair of connectivity, mobility, and computing environment. Find out how to add value to your life and business with cyber services.

Cyber Fair 2006 is exposition for new generation cyber applications of products, solutions and services. This fair highlights technology application and opportunity for Bangladesh . Creating environment with computing, connectivity and web, the fair aims to exemplify relevancy and potentials of the technology for Bangladesh .



The Organizers

Cyber Café Owners Association of Bangladesh (CCOAB) is organizing the show jointly with the Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology (MOSICT). Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS), ISP Association of Bangladesh (ISPB) and Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) are also co-organizing the fair.

Being ICT-enabled service provider, cyber café businesses feel it is necessary to create a platform to bring together backward and forward linkages of ICT businesses. With two modest exhibitions in Dhaka and Chittagong previously, this is the only national fair for showcasing linkages, benefits and applications.

About The organizers


Cyber Café Owners Association of Bangladesh (CCOAB)

Cyber Café Owners Association of Bangladesh (CCOAB) is the trade association of cyber café businesses at national level. Established in 2003, CCOAB safeguards rights and interests of the members of the association and for the development of information and communication technology of Bangladesh using the combined strengths of members. It is recognized by and registered with Department of Trade Organization of Ministry of Commerce. CCOAB promotes ethical and positive business practices and its members are operating under Business Code of CCOAB. CCOAB cooperates with government and advises concerned department(s) in formulating necessary rules/instruments for smooth running of the cyber cafes in Bangladesh .


The Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology (MOSICT)

Rapid development of Science and Information & Communication Technology for moving the country forward is now one of the top agenda of the government. The approval of national policy on ICT is the confirmation of government's pledge to expedite the development of this sector. “Bhashani Novo Theatre”, the world class Planetarium of its kinds in the country has been set up for the advancement of knowledge based science-oriented society and the science based education of our children. The Ministry has established the first ICT incubator in Bangladesh in BSRS Bhaban in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka . New building for Bangladesh Computer Council has been established. For the advancement of the IT sector Bangladesh-Korea institute of Information and Communication Technology, a international standard training institute has been setup with the technical assistance of Korean Government. The Ministry has taken the initiatives for distribution of computers to the non-governmental educational institutions at grass roots level throughout the country for human resource development.
