In another thread, there is discussion, how to customize existing unicode based fixed keyboard layout and create new fixed keyboard layout in Ubuntu/Linux (by X Keyboard - not IBus), Mac OS X (by Ukelele) and Windows (by Avro Keyboard). This link has a project to create all popular Bangla fixed Keyboard layout (Bornona, UniBijoy, Rupali, Munir Optima, Bijoy, National) using KMFL in IBUS (except Unijoy and phobhat, because they are already available in IBus) in Ubuntu/Linux. In this thread, there is discussion about developing Avro phonetic layout in Ubuntu/Linux by KMFL using IBus. Here is - how to develop the Avro Phonetic layout in Mac OS X by using Ukelele. Ukelele provides 3 types of features for developing keyboard layout. 1. Single key stroke displays single character on screen 2. Single key stroke displays multiple characters on screen 3. Multiple key strokes display single character on screen These features enables the production of phonetic keyboard layout of any language. So, Avro phonetic layout for Bangla can also be developed by Ukelele. You can check the Avro phonetic layout in here. (to be continued...)
